We brewed up our second batch of millstream beer over the weekend. It’s an American amber. We put the finishing hops straight in and didn’t filter before putting it into the primary fermenter.
A little presentation I made at the Creative House of Lancaster, enjoy.

Spaten Oktoberfest
Annie Baileys Irish Pub in Lancaster is doing promotion with Spaten brewery to raise money for breast cancer research.
Buy the big glass for 10.00 and for the rest of October you can get refills for 6.00.
Good beer and a good cause and a cool mug what more could you ask for.
P.S. Spaten has a horrible website and Annie Baileys rarely updates theirs.
We’re in the midst of our first brew, an English Porter.
Here are some pictures to chronicle the event. As a side note whenever you are brewing beer you should always be drinking it was well. To mark the occasion we drank some Stoudts American Pilsner, Scarlet Lady Amber and their American Pale Ale.

Brewing 2
At the very end we couldn’t find the yeast so we ran over to the Lancaster Homebrew and got what we needed.
After a week of waiting and watching the bubbles we moved the brew to the secondary fermenter. To commemorate we drank some Dogfish Head Raison D”Etre.

Tonight is pub night!
Wheatland church in Lancaster, PA has a pub night on the third Thursday of each month. Tonight @9 p.m. we will be visiting Annie Baileys Irish pub in downtown Lancaster to enjoy good brews and good fellowship.

All are welcome so bring your friends,
P.S.
I’ll also be at the “Creative House of Lancaster” meeting which starts at 6:30 at Annie Baileys. All the cool creative kids are going to be there. Beer making is creative, right?
Welcome to the online home of Millstream Brewery. If our website looks new well it’s because it is new, as new as our brewery. We’re just a few guys who enjoy good beer trying our hands at making it.

We hope to start our first batch by the end of September which means it will be ready mid to late October about which time we will have a little Oktoberfest party.
Stay tuned for more details.
